My name is Dave Berry
David Berry, father of a child born with congenital heart defects and required multiple operations. Eve was born with multiple heart defects and had several heart operations at Alder Hey heart centre. One such major double valve replacement operation was complicated with kidney failure requiring a kidney transplantation. The kidney was donated by her father Dave. Dave and his family experienced first hand; the roller coaster of emotional distress, the struggles, the worries, stresses, the disturbances to work, life and the compromises they have to make as a family. One grace though all these troubles was that Eve and her family had the great NHS and the Alder Hey heart centre to provide what they needed without worrying about funding the operations by themselves. Dave is passionate about fundraising for both Healing Little Hearts and the Alder Hey children’s hospital.
